This multimedia news piece was produced for the University of British Columbia’s graduate student publication The Thunderbird.

It focusses on an Indigenous powwow celebrating Canadian and American veterans living in and around Vancouver. The piece combines photographs of event-goers and organisers with their words in both audio and written formats, and traditional music from the powwow.

I pitched and co-produced the piece with a fellow Master of Journalism student. I was the audio, interview and writing lead, and the second photographer.

The piece was published on the Thunderbird website in November 2022.
